An LCGC garden club member serves as a voting member on each of the following community boards:
- Friends of the Arboretum Board: The Arboretum is the State Botanical Garden of Kentucky. It was created in 1991 as a joint effort between the University of Kentucky and the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government.
- Corridors Commission: The Corridors Commission is responsible for enhancing the corridors or gateways into Lexington, Fayette County, through landscaping and other beautification efforts.
- Lexington Tree Board: The Tree Board advises appropriate municipal agencies on matters of care, preservation, planting, removal, replacement, or disposition of trees in parks, along streets, and in public areas.
- Raven Run Nature Sanctuary Citizen’s Advisory Board: The Board advises the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Division of Parks and Recreation in an effort to perpetuate the nature sanctuary status of this unique 734-acre site adjacent to the Kentucky River Palisades.
