Plant List for the Down to Earth sale on May 7
Just in time for spring planting, two LCGC member clubs, Gardenside Green Thumb and Down to Earth, are holding their annual fundraising Plant Sales, both in the morning on Derby Day, May 7, 2022.
You’ll have a busy but fun morning visiting both sales, finding something perfect for your yard–or maybe for Mom, since May 8 is Mother’s Day! And after you get your purchases safely tucked into the ground, you may want to kick back and watch the ponies run at Churchill Downs, perhaps with a julep in hand…?

The South Atlantic Region Convention was held at Boone Tavern Hotel in Berea, KY. March 20-22, 2022.
Attendees enjoyed talks from Alex Narramore, sugar flower artist and cake creator extraordinaire (see photo below) as well as Val Schirmer of Three Toads Farm. Val teaches workshops and Flower Schools on her and her husband’s beautiful Winchester, KY farm.

Lexington Council Garden Clubs is nowaccepting grant applications from the Lexington community for funds raised by the 2021 Open Gates of the Bluegrass Living Garden Tour.

We are pleased to have this opportunity to support gardening projects in Fayette County, in keeping with our objectives of pursuit and promotion of beautification, preservation and conservation of natural resources as well as furthering horticultural education, landscape design, and ecological awareness via scholarship awards.
